January 17: Steve Jones remarks on his radio show, Jonesy's Jukebox, (Indie 103.1FM): "Sex Pistols... there's a good chance, very good chance that we'll be playing in London in the summer, and Moscow and Japan. There's a good chance."

May 25: John Lydon appears on BBC News At Ten, discussing 30th anniversary of the release of God Save The Queen.

June 7: John Lydon mentions on Talk Sport Radio that the Sex Pistols may play a couple of shows near Christmas.

June: Paul Cook, Steve Jones and John Lydon are back in the studio with producer Chris Thomas. They re-record Pretty Vacant and Anarchy In The UK for the use in the computer game Guitar Hero 3.

July 26: It is announced that later this year Virgin records will release a vinyl series of the first four Sex Pistols singles and the original pressing of the Never Mind The Bollocks album which included a 7” Submission single and poster.

July 31: NME launches a campaign to get God Save The Queen to number one in the UK charts via downloads and sales of the forthcoming vinyl single. The campaign will tie in with the October 8th re-release.

September 10: www.sex-pistols.net previews the Virgin vinyl re-issues.

September 18: Official announcement: The Sex Pistols will play at the Brixton Academy, London, on November 8th 2007.

September 20: SPIN magazine has a Johnny Rotten front cover, an interview with John, plus an article on the year 1977.

John appears on the Virgin Radio Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show.

September 21: Tickets go on sale for 8th November Brixton gig and sell out immediately. Extra dates at Brixton are added for 9th & 10th November and also sell out during the day. With extra dates being added the "tour" is named "Holidays In The Sun."

September 25: Further shows are hinted at by Steve Jones on his Jonesy's Jukebox radio show. The station, Indie 103.1, also mention a major concert announcement on Thursday 27th.

September 26: New dates are announced; 12th November at Brixton Academy and 17th November at Manchester MEN Arena.

September 27: The major concert referred to by Indie 103.1 is confirmed as the Sex Pistols at The Roxy, Hollywood on 25th October. Tickets are not for sale, but you can win them by being the 10th caller after each time the Pistols are played on the station over the coming days.

John Lydon appears on Indie 103.1 with Joe Escalante.

September 28: New date announced; 14th November at Brixton Academy. Tickets on sale today.

October 1: Anarchy In The UK / I Wanna Be Me 7" released.

Steve Jones and Paul Cook appear together on Jonesy's Jukebox.

October 2: On Jonesy's Jukebox, Steve Jones says a show in Glasgow is a possibility.

October 3: Steve Jones states on Jonesy's Jukebox that the Pistols will be playing in Glasgow.

Glen Matlock asked for the following statement to be put on www.sex-pistols.net: "Glen Matlock would like to dispel the rumour started by a demented and over imaginative journalist about being touchy about John swearing on stage in front of his young son. "It's absolute bollocks." "

This week's NME has a double page feature on next week's re-issue of God Save The Queen and details of their campaign to get it to number one.

October 5: Manchester Evening News run a feature / interview with John. "Pistols Johnny's still firing."
Major interview with John Lydon in today's Sun: "Johnny's still Rotten"

The November edition of Q magazine is a 21st Anniversary Special, which includes the 21 People Who Changed Music. John Lydon features, talking about the Sex Pistols.

October 4: Glasgow date confirmed: 18th November at the SECC.

October 7: US TV Appearance announced: Sex Pistols to appear on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson in LA, 31st October.

www.sex-pistols.net picture exclusive! Steve Jones and Paul Cook pictured yesterday playing football for Hollywood United.

October 8: God Save The Queen / Did You No Wrong 7" released.

October 9: Paul Cook and Steve Jones are together in Hawaïi this week, for the recording of Jonesy’s Jukebox.

October 12: Preview of NMTB on www.sex-pistols.net.

October 14: From a mid week high of 28, God Save The Queen ended the week at 42 in the charts. Despite the NME's campaign, number one was not a realistic outcome in 2007. However, the record was the biggest selling 7" vinyl single of the week.

October 15: Pretty Vacant / No Fun 7" released.

Guitar Hero re-recordings of Anarchy In The UK and Pretty Vacant released as downloads on itunes.

October 16: A further US Sex Pistols TV appearance announced: The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, 30th October.

The Sex Pistols begin rehearsals today in LA.

October 17: Glen Matlock is the guest on Jonesy’s Jukebox.

October 19: The vinyl re-issue of Never Mind The Bollocks gets a 5 star ("Must listen to at all cost") review in The Mirror newspaper: "The album.... sounds astonishing."

October 22: Holidays In The Sun / Satellite 7" released.

Daily Star: "A Jungle Bunk by Mr Punk. Sex Pistols supremo Malcolm McLaren has got cold feet about going into the jungle for I'm A Celebrity. The "Godfather of punk", 61, signed up for the show last month. But now McLaren is threatening to pull out.. It is rumoured he is wimping out of the nasty Bushtucker Trials....The show kicks off on ITV1 on November 12."

Reuters/Billboard reports: "Sex Pistols fans snub downloads. .....but, while downloads underperformed, EMI noted that it (God Save The Queen) was the best-selling vinyl single of the week, with sales of some 3,100. EMI product manager Tom Wegg-Prosser said "....We've tried to re-create what happened 30 years ago in a respectful and authentic way, and the fans have bought into that...we're proud of how the vinyl has sold."

October 25: Sex Pistols play The Roxy, Hollywood, Los Angeles.

This is a private show for Indie radio 103.1FM.
Performance availability. Video clips from the concert were posted on the internet (audience mobile 'phone recordings). A private video filmed from Glen’s side of the stage also exists, and the last 3 tracks were recorded by a member of the audience on audio.

October 26: Online reviews of the concert include Reuters and Sid Boggle on www.sex-pistols.net.

John Lydon interview appears in the Orange County Register: "Johnny Rotten sounds off on the Sex Pistols return."
Steve Jones audio interview aired on KPCC Radio.

October 29: Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols re-issued.

October 30: Sex Pistols play live on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Song performed: Anarchy In The UK.

October 31: Sex Pistols play live on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, in L.A. John Lydon and Steve Jones are interviewed and the band perform Pretty Vacant.

French magazine Punk Rawk contains a short article covering the Sex Pistols concerts in LA and in the UK, the vinyl re-issues, and the “Guitar Hero” recordings.

November 2: Daily Mail: "Johnny Glutton: It's rock and fat rolls for Sex Pistols star". Includes pictures from The Late Late Show.

The Cribs confirmed as main support for the Sex Pistols at Brixton Academy for 4 shows; 8th, 10th, 12th, and 14th November. The Thirst will support on 9th November plus the Manchester show: The Hedrons confirmed as support in Glasgow.

November 4: Sex Pistols CD free in today's Daily Star on Sunday

November 7: John Lydon, Steve Jones and Glen Matlock are at the Hoxton Square Bar, Shoreditch, London in the afternoon doing press for the gigs and Guitar Hero 3. In the evening John Lydon conducts a press conference. This is filmed by various media including Rockworld TV and www.sex-pistols.net. An interview with John, filmed in the afternoon, is shown on ITV "London Tonight", and Channel 4 "More 4 News" runs a feature on the reunion using clips from the 2002 press conference.

November 8: Brixton Academy, London (recorded and filmed by audience).

Sky News run two features which include clips from the 8th November show. The first is shown on "Sky Sunrise" and repeated on "Sky Saturday Live". The second feature, which includes a contribution by NME journalist James McMahon, is shown on "Sky Lunchtime".

November 13: A very short part of the press conference from November 7th is shown on the French TV channel “Canal +” during a feature on the re-recording of the two tracks for Guitar Hero 3 and the Sex Pistols tour.

The London Paper quote Paul Cook saying the Sex Pistols will play UK summer festivals and London 02 Arena next year.

November 19: Daily Star carries an excellent review of the Manchester gig: "The Sex Pistols were back in Manchester for the first time since 1976....back then 150 people turned up, but now the 19,500 MEN Arena was packed to capacity. Sporting a waistcoat scarily similar to the one he wore in '76, Johnny Rotten snarled, sneered and swore his way through an electrifying set.... as soon as the opening Pretty Vacant tore through the venue, the crowd went bonkers. Predictably God Save The Queen raised the roof, but everything from Liar to Bodies was received with pint-chucking jubilation..."

November 23: www.sex-pistols.net reports on the forthcoming DVD. "Julien Temple's filming at the Brixton shows has been followed by additional filming with the individual Pistols around relevant locations in London. Expected release date spring/summer 2008."

November 24: Fans of Guitar Hero 3 have the chance to "Take on Steve Jones at Guitar Hero 3 at 8pm GMT as part of the Xtival 07 event!."

November 29: Sex Pistols are listed as headliners at the Peace & Love Festival in Borlänge, Sweden in June 2008. The festival runs 23-28 June.

Steve Jones talks about Sex Pistols shows next summer on Jonesy's Jukebox. In addition to a gig in Sweden, Steve says the Pistols will headline the Isle Of Wight Festival in 2008 on Saturday 14th June, and also says a show at the Albert Hall is under discussion.

November 30: NME.com report: " Sex Pistols to headline Isle Of Wight Festival 14th June 2008. ... The reformed punks will top the bill on the Saturday night (June 14) at the festival. They join fellow reunited new wave contemporaries The Police, who headline the Sunday night (15). The Isle Of Wight Festival takes place between June 13-15. Tickets for the event go on general sale from 9am 10 December."

December 2: BBC.co.uk report: "Sex Pistols join festival line-up. ....Veteran punk rockers the Sex Pistols are to headline next year's Isle of Wight music festival alongside rock band The Police."

December 3. Ian Brown's new single Sister Rose, taken from his album The World Is Yours and featuring Steve Jones and Paul Cook, is released.

December 5: Steve Jones reveals on Jonesy's Jukebox that Never Mind The Bollocks producer Chris Thomas recorded two of the Brixton shows.

December 6: John Lydon confirms the Isle Of Wight announcement on Virgin Radio.

December 7: Daily Express: "Topping the bill at next year's Isle Of Wight Festival hasn't stopped Sex Pistols' John Lydon having a pop at last year's headliners. Speaking about The Rolling Stones Lydon tells Virgin Radio "It's about time someone decent was on the bill. What have (The Stones) ever done for society as we know it?""

December 16: Announcement that the Sex Pistols will play the Live at Loch Lomond festival on August 3rd 2008.

Sunday Mail: " ....Live At Loch Lomond has beaten off major competition from rival festivals to sign up the punk legends for their only mainland UK festival show next summer. Promoter Ricky Magowan said: "We are delighted we have secured possibly the most exciting band in British music history to headline our festival. ...Their agent John Giddings revealed they were desperate to play a Scottish festival after their SECC show. He said: "They thought it was by far the best on the tour so are champing at the bit to get up to play Loch Lomond."

December 20: John Lydon Guitar Hero 3 Press Conference Part One is shown on RockWorld TV. Part Two is shown on 23rd.

December (magazines published during the month): French music magazine Rock & Folk includes 4 pages on the Sex Pistols at Brixton Academy on November 12th, written by www.sex-pistols.net contributor Géant-Vert.
French magazine Punk Rawk includes a short article about the tour, the vinyl re-issues and the Guitar Hero recordings.
Steve Jones is featured in the latest issue of Classic Rock, with a full page picture plus an interview.
John Lydon is on the cover of the Christmas edition of Black & White Photography magazine.
