The Le Scenes
Produced by Paul Cook & Ray McVeigh

Exclusive News - June 2005
Musicbest Records act The Le Scenes are set to return to London in late June for a couple of industry showcase gigs. The lads, who were last in London in January to record at the world renowned Universal Records Studios, play at prestigious venue The Metro (near Tottenham Court Road tube station) on Wednesday 29th June, and in the Canaervon Castle, Camden, the previous night. The lads are fresh from a double header of shows at Belfast's Spring and Airbrake - supporting both British Sea Power and The La's, and will play a warm up gig before the trip at the King's Head, Belfast on Thursday 23rd June, as special guests to Indigo Fury.

Led by the Jennings brothers, The Le Scenes are enjoying the patronage of a couple of ex-Sex Pistols of late. Drummer Paul Cook co-produced their London demo and has been ably assisting their development (including lending the boys his ride cymbal from the "Bollocks" sessions!), while bassist Glen Matlock will be weighing in with the boy's backline for the shows! (The Le Scenes first met Glen when they supported The Philistines at a Belfast gig). Ray McVeigh of The Professionals also lent a much appreciated hand with the previous London sessions, and fellow Professional Paul Myers has promised to pop along as well! All in all it should be a very interesting few days! Thanks also to Dougie Bruce of Universal Publishing for his help in lining up these shows.

Armed with a superb new 5 track CD, recorded at Manor Park - one of Northern Ireland's best studios, the band are hopeful they can turn the considerable industry buzz they've created in their short time together into real results. Their contagious brand of loose-limbed rock'n'roll has been making them a lot of new friends lately! For more information, and to hear some tuneage visit: www.musicbest-records.com
