RUSSIA - 6" FLEXI DISCS: SEX PISTOLS |
|
The God Save The Sex Pistols guide to Russian 6" Flexi Discs.
Russian 6" flexi discs are one of the most sought after Sex Pistols items. The records are one sided and pressed into plastic 6" squares. The tracks were chosen seemingly at random, with a mixture of single and LP tracks issued. An exact date for these pressings is uncertain, although the early 80's is the most likely. They came with a one sided photocopied cover which included a 1¾" fold around flap (see example below).
This guide is not exhaustive. Different colour pressings exist for some releases, as well different sleeves.
For the purpose of the guide they are listed in catalogue number order. This throws up anomalies; Punk Classics Vol. 2 coming after Vol. 3! Tracks have, in some cases, been incorrectly titled - the title on the record is the title used in the guide. Also, a fake Sex Pistols recording appears, but is included as the label clearly thought it to be genuine. |
