The Great Rock 'N' Roll Swindle (Virgin V 2168)
Released 6th June 1980
Single LP highlights of 1979 double LP, released to coincide with the release of the film itself.
The running order follows the order the songs appear in the film, apart from Something Else & Lonely Boy being switched at the end of side one, presumably to finish the side with a single.
Side One. God Save The Queen (Symphony) / The Great Rock 'N' Roll Swindle / You Need Hands / Silly Thing / Lonely Boy / Something Else
Side Two. Rock Around The Clock / C'mon Everybody / Who Killed Bambi / No One Is Innocent / Anarchie Pour L'U.K. / My Way
Notes. Anarchie Pour L'U.K plays Anarchy In The U.K., from the double "Swindle" LP.
Unknown quantity included free 30" x 40" movie poster with 'Includes free Poster' sticker on the front. Housed in plain paper inner sleeve with standard Green/Red Virgin labels. Copies with the poster are extremely hard to track down and command a high price. Posters on their own are more common but originals can be expensive and reproduction copies exist too.
As well as the 'Poster', 'Book', and 'Book + Poster' releases there was a standard pressing which didn't have any stickers or freebies.
