The Photography of Paul Burgess

Having left the Royal College of Art in 1986 with an MA, Paul spent 14 years as a successful designer and photographer working with Island Records, Vintage books, MTV, Rough Trade, Pulp (the group), Penguin books, Orion, Harper Collins, Virgin to name but a few.

During the Sex Pistols' 1996 Filthy Lucre Tour, he took some of the most memorable pictures of this historic reunion, having gained unique access to the shows at Paris, Glasgow, Shepherds Bush, and Finsbury Park. Following a telephone call to 'John Lydon's 'Rotten Radio' internet show, he found himself working for Film Four for whom he designed the film poster for ‘The Filth And The Fury'. An avid collector of Sex Pistols/punk graphics and memorabilia, Paul is best known in the UK as an illustrator. He also finds time to teach design. “Satellite” marked Paul's first book but other publishing projects are planned for the future.
